Two australians, it's quite exotic, we like what smells good the warm sand here. But not only that, THIS/Is also smells like a big future successful band. Yet tracked down by the Master Discodust, we fish them up again gladly.
Their productions are extremely refreshing, we congratulate them for the remix of Burn it Out (Just A Band) but also for Sucker Free with a very special mention for the title (that's Baudelairian).
Listen it, dance on it, it's on the CMC and very soon in Europe if we put ourselves in it all at the same time !
1- Who are you ?
We are Alan & Nix, two guys from Sydney that have been djing and playing in bands for a while and along the way our paths magically crossed as they do when you believe some things are meant to just happen and the rest is history.
2- Amazing remix of Burn it out from Just a Band. How did you find that french band ? What seduced you in this track ?
Thank you, we glad you like it. Well if we can remember right we have got a friend that is interested in bringing Just A Band out to Australia and through them talking online, somehow they saw our myspace page and really liked our stuff, which to us was so amazing because walk on down is one of our all time favourite tracks. Anyway, they asked our friend if we would like us to remix them and we took on that privilege with burn it out. Oh yeah I think their new Ep is out on the 18th of May so go cop that shit! Haha
3- How things are going in Sydney ? Would you like to move elsewhere ?
Yeah things are pretty cool in Sydney, we have got our debut on the 23rd of May at Art House in sydney with some of Sydneys best dj’s supporting us. We are organising an australian tour over the next month as well as some more of our own original releases. Yes, we are planning on moving elsewhere! Wherever life and this music shit takes us, Europe, preferably France, but weed is legal in Amsterdam so that’s also a strong possibility.
4- Who's supporting you ?
Um we would have to say that Just A Band have done a lot for us with the remix it, um Greg from Teenage Badgirl for the inspiration, he was the first person that we showed our music too when he was in Australia and he gave us some really encouraging words about the tracks and from then on we decided to make our music production our full time job. And also our good friend Dan aka Dolemite, he has been the instigator for a lot of our exposure so a big thanks to him!
5- Any ep planned ?
That would be yes, we definatly have plans for an ep. We just haven’t decided on an actual date yet, we have a couple of old tracks that we want to finish first and once that is done we’ll decide on which ones we would like to put out first for release, also. We have recently been approached by Interscope Records (US) and have been asked to remix one of their new upcoming artists whos single is featuring Eve & Lil’ John. We are going to be making a few more tracks for them which we are really exited about and are going to see where that takes us too.
6- What's your worst default ?
Well for me (Alan) it has to be getting a bit too uh messy when i play, it’s a very fun feeling that I love very much and will continue to do so in the future.
And for me (Nix) it's really has to be waking up before 3pm. I’m a very deep sleeper. It’s my cross to bare.
