Maybe the more ghetto selection of the moment
Pour le deuxième Père Noël Pack, je suis ravie d'utiliser mon très cher et très estimé Youstine Faust. Entre son label Bouchemiture (prochaine sortie Johnatron - Magic Missile Ep 19 janv 2010) et ses propres ambitions (vastes et louables) il a beaucoup à faire. Mais parce qu'il vous aime, il a quand même pris le temps de vous lister les titres qu'il faudra absolument retenir pour 2010. Comme à l'image de sa musique, voici dix titres tout en chatons et en poudreuse.
En outre, les artistes aussi on besoin d'argent pour se rincer le champagne et hormis pour quelques morceaux déjà largement diffusés, vous n'aurez pas de lien mp3.
Il faut acheter les enfants, 90cts sur Itunes c'est pas la fin du monde.

For the second Santa Claus Pack, I am delighted to use my very dear and very considered Youstine Faust.

1. Visitor - Los Feeling (Rough mix)
One of those popsongs that crawl into you after the first seconds and never let you go. Visitor from London are one of the great unsigned (!) acts of 2009 and blogs, as well as remixers have been all over them. Produced by fellow producer Diamond Cut, you should really watch out for Visitor in 2010. Major breakthrough will happen. In fact, I'm working on a remix for their next single right now, so be prepared!
2. Fear Of Tigers - The Adventures of Pippi Longstrump (Diamond Cut Remix)
This track is pure beauty and a masterpiece of arrangement and build-up. Just listen how it unfolds its sheer magic. In the first three minutes you get smoothed out by a half-time feeling, then a four-to-flour-bass kicks in and you begin to wonder, can it get any better? And yes, on 03:29 the dancefloor is shaking. And productionwise, this piece is flawless. All props to Diamond Cut!
3. Justin Faust - The Capri Spinoff
Well, I had to put in one of my tracks. It's called shameless self-promotion. Capri Spinoff came out earlier this year on my Revenge EP and has gotten a lot of attention, so I reckon it's not that bad...
4. Friendly Fires - Skeleton Boy (GRUM Remix)
If your feet are not exploding on 02:28 then something's wrong with you.
Seriously.
5. Severen - The Edge of a Sunday (Breakbot Remix)
Do you remember the first time you were in love? The warm summer breeze? Nothing can get to you and you feel invincible. Then, at night, you go to a club with your loved one and the DJ spins this jam. Breakbot is a pure genius of french funk madness and 2010 will be full of him.
6. Keenhouse - Ari-es (Hemingways Starlight Yacht Remix)
Hemingway is a young dude from Canada and one of those talents you can't ignore. He's devoted to the whole Yacht Funk Craze, and oh boy, how lucky we are that he is! This piece is wonderful from the start and shows its full beauty from 02:14 on. Watch out for more Hemingway on my label Bouchemiture in 2010!
7. Wolfgang Gartner - Fire Power (Original Mix)
Okay, okay. I guess this track appeals to my inner child, but it kills the dancefloors around the world. I just love how this is crafted. The first break gives an interesting, almost classical impression, followed by a strange break and then: sheer bass power. The production is so brilliant it always makes me cringe.
8. Michael Cassette - Moonlight Runner
A real simple and stripped down track. No playing around here, supersolid bass, awesome chords and some melody, all assembled in a pristine production - what else do you need?
9. Paradiso Girls feat. Lil Jon & Eve - Patron Tequila (This/Is Remix)
Brings the Ladies on the dancefloor. Which is basically what the guys want, right??
10. Sally Shapiro - Miracle (Bogdan Irkόk Remix)
The original track is a wonderul light-pop single, but Bogdan Irkuk turns it into a dreamwave-symphony which is so lush and beautiful, that my Falke-heart pumps in the rhythm of this jam. If you don't like this track you have no heart and kill little kittens.

Aston Shuffle, c'est quoi déjà ?
Comme me l'a habilement fait remarquer mon partenaire de vie, Aston Shuffle n'est pas à la pointe de la médiatisation en ce moment et distille trop rarement ces productions.Néanmoins il a pensé à nous pour le 1er de l'An.

JEPPE ITW
Cela faisait bien longtemps que je n'étais pas retourné en terres danoises...Le nom n'est pas neuf, Jeppe est présent dans mon Itunes depuis au moins, l'âge de glace (d'abord avec Junior Senior - Together for one last dance) et il semble ne pas vouloir en sortir.
Comme je lui ai mentionné et comme je vous l'ai déjà écrit, il a cette incroyable voix et aussi ces très beaux arrangements qui envoient tout au milieu des années 80. Vous y retrouverez du Depeche Mode pour les puristes, du Fine Young Cannibals pour les abonnés aux tubes et du Tear For Fears pour moi.
Il est assez amusant de faire écouter ponctuellement quelques unes de vos trouvailles à vos parents (mélomanes) parce qu'ils ont des réflexes et des références qui leur sautent aux yeux et qui souvent nous échappent, jeunes sots.
A la première écoute de Big Boy, ma très chère maman a pensé qu'elle était en face d'une unreleased remastered track des Tear For Fears mais rien du tout, le morceau avait trois mois à peine.
Jeppe prouve qu'avec de la passion, un sacré talent et du travail, on peut faire revivre une décennie.

The name isn't new, Jeppe is in my Itunes since at least, the age of ice (first with Junior Senior - Together for one last dance) and he doesn't seem to want to go out of it.
As I mentioned it to him and as I've already written it to you, he has this incredible voice and also these very beautiful arrangements which send you directly in the middle of the 80's. You will find some Depeche Mode for the purists, some Fine Young Cannibals for the subscribers to the charts and some Tear For Fears for me.
It's rather funny to make punctually listen to some of your new tunes to your parents (music lovers) because they have these reflexes and references which are quite obvious to them and which nearly always escape us , young fools.
In the first listening of Big Boy, my dear mom thought that she was in front of an unreleased remastered track of Tear For Fears but the remix had hardly only three months.
Jeppe proves us that with the passion, a sacred talent and work, we can bring back a decade.
1- First, where did you get this incredible 80' spirit voice ?
Thank you for your nice words. I never had lessons about singing techniques so I just kinda sing how it feels best for me, but in my early teens I was this crazy Depeche Mode fan, like I collected any rare b-sides, remixes etc, then I got tired of them, sold all my records to my dad for nothing and started being a crazy Morrissey / Smith fan instead. So I'm pretty good at imitating Morrissey, Martin Gore and Dave Gahan. My first release was a 4 song EP by my first band LudoX when I was 17 years old and it has a really embarrassing Morrissey soundalike moment.
2- Your featuring with Classixx was a huge success, what did it bring to you ?
It was a fun spontaneous thing, I was in Berlin and the Classixx guys sent me the instrumental from LA and I came up with the rest, recorded the vocals and sent it back to them 2 days later.
3- We're all expecting a Jeppe ep. but for when ?
Right now I'm starting to work with some different producers / collaborators on finishing my first album, I'm really excited to see how others will interpret my ideas so far.
4- Your dream duet ?
It'd be a dream to do a duet with country star Tanya Tucker when she was 14 (early 1970's) her voice was so incredible on her first 2 albums.
5- The last time you've been dancing ?
Probably by myself. I often dance when I write songs, I often start writing a song with a simple beat, then dance around and then melody and words come out easily, it sounds really cheesy but it feels really natural to come up with melodies and ideas while your dancing to a good beat you just made (and nobody is watching).

BAXTER BEEZ MINI ITW

Ses productions sont un mélange de tout que j'ai du mal à définir mais qui habilement empilées rendent pas mal.
C'est ghetto sans rap, sautillant sans Dance et foncièrement foutu comme un Tétris.
Tout ceci devra être vérifié par vos soins et ce au plus vite.

1- Qu'est ce que tu prends au goûter pour produire des trucs pareils ?
J'écoute beaucoup de son, je mate plein de films de zombies et je mange des burgers "home made" toutes les 6 heures ! (non non souvenez-vous du l'excellent programme du Ministère de la Santé, "Mangez-Bougez")
Mais les influences c'est fluctuant. Un coup c'est un son que j'entends dans une soirée, une autre fois c'est une B.O de film qui me scotche.
Par contre j'évite les drogues synthétiques et me concentre davantage sur le soda et la mayo. (Bon petit, néanmoins il a dit synthétiques donc pour le pavot, y'a moyen.)

Alaska in Winter
Alaska is my personal idea of the paradise, think great white north, wood cabins, whiskey and frozen lakes. So when I came across Alaska in Winter (aka Brandon Bethancourt) I was meant to like it espeacially when I read that he 'spent a semester in a tiny cabin out in the middle of nowhere Alaska recording music on a laptop during the winter'.
