C'est la fraîcheur de l'été mais aussi très probablement le soleil de cet hiver (poésie, poésie, poésie).
Remarqué sur bien des blogs (et pas des mauvais), félicité par Teki (Sound Pellegrino, Stunts, Institubes), l'ancien de Sexual Earthquake in Kobe a joliment démarré et va peut être pouvoir taillé son nom dans le marbre avant ses 23 ans.
Une prod pleine de couleurs servie par des bases solides acquises chez S.E.I.K et une super équipe.
Les mecs de Cheval, moi, je les surveille de très très près.

Its the fresh air of this summer but surely the sun of the next winter too (oh poetry).
Seen on many blogs (and not the worst), appreciated by Teki (Sound Pellegrino, Stunts, Institubes), the former member of Sexual Earthquake in Kobe started nicely and could cut his name in the marble before his 23 years.
A production full of colors served by solid bases taked during the S.E.I.K project and a great team.
The Club Cheval guys ? I surely will follow them.


1- Que s'est il passé entre Sexual Earthquake in Kobe et ton projet solo ?
Le projet Myd a toujours existé mais il avait été mis un peu de côté pour me consacrer à Sexual Earthquake in Kobe, mais maintenant que SEIK est bien lancé, je me suis remis à produire et à reprendre mes platines. En fait j’ai profité de la création de Club Cheval, ça m’a motivé pour avancer sur Myd tu vois, ça m’a remis dans un certaine dynamique.


2- Quelles ont ete les retombées de la sortie de Train to Bamako ?
C’est vrai que Train to Bamako a bien tourné, j’ai eu de bon retour d’artistes Teki Latex et Dj Orgasmic avec la Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, mais aussi Solo, Qoso, Radioclit ou Brodinski. J’ai aussi bien été bloggé et playlisté notamment dans le dernier mix de Sound Pellegrino et j’ai eu des bonnes propositions de remixes et de collaborations. Pour les dates, je viens de jouer aux Nuits Secrètes avec The Proxy, Mr Oizo ou encore Naïve New Beaters et il est prévu que je joue à Londres et à Bruxelles d’ici peu.

3- Ou te trouve t'on, généralement, le week end apres 00h ?
La plupart du temps je bosse sur mes productions chez moi dans le XIXéme et quand je sors, je vais le plus souvent au Social Club.

4- Avec qui, idéalement, aimerais-tu travailler ?
Honnêtement j’ai déjà des projets avec Radioclit, qui j’espère se concrétiseront. Mais j’aimerai bien travailler avec Brodinski, Renaissance Man ou des artistes du label Mad Decent dont je me sens proche musicalement.

5- Ca veut dire quoi appartenir au Club Cheval ?
Club Cheval est un collectif d’artistes que nous avons crée récemment, début 2009, avec une structure de promotion, une véritable mise en avant des artistes et surtout des productions de qualité. Les artistes présents dans le Club sont Sam Tiba, Canblaster, Sexual Earthquake in Kobe, What Planet is this ? et moi même. Donc aujourd’hui ça me motive particulièrement d’être en groupe, pour l’esprit d’équipe et aussi pour l’ambiance.

6- Qu'est ce qu'on peut te souhaiter ?
Que ça continue comme ça, d’une manière aussi intense.

7-Quelle est ta prochaine sortie ?
Le maxi Train to Bamako et ses remixes, avec notamment Qoso, Monsieur Monsieur et d’autres artistes dont on préfère garder la surprise pour l’instant.

De toute l'équipe Valérie, c'est clairement mon préféré.
Non seulement c'est le meilleur (musicalement) mais en plus, à la dernière Valérie Party du Showcase, c'est lui qui avait les chaussures les plus adorables (une petite bateau blanche, fabuleux).

Et bien vois-tu, Russ Chimes est comme ses chaussures. Il apporte une humilité et une simplicité dont manquent cruellement certains artistes de la maison.
Il est malheureux de constater que de belles compositions soient écrasées par des personnalités pompeuses.
Russ Chimes a cette justesse. Il ne se mettra jamais plus en avant que ce qu'il produit et c'est ce qui rend des prestations gracieuses et des morceaux ravissants.

Of all the team Valérie, it's clearly my favorite.
Not only it is the best (musically) but moreover, in the last Valérie Party at the Showcase, he had the most adorable shoes (white boat shoes, fabulous).

And you see, Russ Chimes is just like his shoes. He brings a humility and a simplicity which certain artists of the house cruelly miss.
It's unfortunate to notice that beautiful compositions are crushed by pompous personalities.
Russ Chimes has this correctness. He will never put his face before his music and this is what makes graceful performances and charming songs.

1- You've been first on HypeM with the Frankmusik remix. What's the history of this song ?
I was approached by his record label to do the remix. The vocals on this track are great so it was a real pleasure to do. It turned out that Frankmusik was really pleased with the remix, so it was approved and sent out to the blogs!

2- What HypeM represents for you ?
I think it's a great resource for tracks, although I'm not sure how much weight being at the top of their chart actually holds. It seems that it can be quite easily manipulated.

3- Next release ?
Next release is currently in progress, I can't give away anymore than that, you'll find out in due course !

4- Next gig ?
My next gig will be a DJ set at the Proud Galleries in London on Sept 12th.

5- What's your slogan ?
Not sure I have a slogan, but my motive I guess is to make tracks with drama and feeling, that also make people want to dance !

6- The song you've been listenning the most those days ?
Recently I've been loving the Aston Shuffle Remix of Disko Suks by Tronik Youth

7- Best "souvenir" of the past year ?
Probably playing live shows at Valerie parties at Showcase, Paris and Cargo, London. The shows went off and the crowds were amazing! I've also just returned from an Australian tour was was a lot of fun.
